UPCOMING TEACHER TRAINING MODULES
FIND YOUR PERFECT MODULE SCHEDULE
Filter your schedule by location, module, or format—whether in-person or online—to find the perfect fit for your training.
Wondering where to start? You can start at any of these modules: Movement Principles (most recommended), Mat 1, or Reformer 1.
In-person modules are exclusively in-person, and online modules are fully live online.
CHOOSE YOUR PATH
Four certifications, all Balanced Body®, all taught by ALIGN. Not sure which one? You don't have to decide today. Movement Principles counts toward every path, and most students start there.
Every module is $600, or $550 when you register 30 or more days ahead. The lower price applies automatically. No code, no countdown.
How long does it take? That's up to your life. Modules run year-round in Austin, Houston, and online. You set the pace. There is time.
A module is not the certification. A module is a weekend of training. A certification is bigger: your modules, plus your practice hours, plus Balanced Body's test-out, a practical and written exam. Finish your path, log your hours, pass the test-out, and you're a certified instructor.
What it costs, all in: your modules, plus Balanced Body's manual for each module, plus their test-out fee. Those last two are set and billed by Balanced Body, and the current amounts are on their site. We'd rather you know that now than find out later.
Still wondering where to start? Start with Movement Principles. Or email us where you are, and we'll write back with your first module and its date.
COMPREHENSIVE CERTIFICATION
The whole studio. Every piece of equipment, from mat to reformer to chair, barrels, and Cadillac. This is the deepest training we offer, and the one that prepares you to walk into any studio in the world and teach what's in the room. It's the path to becoming the instructor clients can't wait to rebook with.
The path:
-
Modules: Movement Principles, Anatomy, Mat 1-3, Reformer 1-3, Apparatus 1-3. That's 11 modules: $6,600, or $6,050 with early-bird pricing throughout.
-
Your hours: 370 practical hours. Mat 70, Reformer 150, and Apparatus 150 (35 personal sessions, 20 observation, 95 student teaching).
-
Path total: 520 hours, per Balanced Body's official requirements. Anatomy is required before test-out.
MAT + REFORMER CERTIFICATION
The two most-requested skills, one foundation. Mat gives you the system. Reformer gives you the studio. Most teaching jobs want both.
The path:
-
Modules: Movement Principles, Anatomy, Mat 1-3, Reformer 1-3. That's 8 modules: $4,800, or $4,400 with early-bird pricing throughout.
-
Your hours: 220 practical hours. Mat 70 plus Reformer 150.
-
Path total: 332 hours, per Balanced Body's official requirements. Anatomy is required before test-out.
MAT CERTIFICATION
The place Pilates began. Mat work teaches you the system itself: what each exercise is for, who it's for, and how to adjust it for the body in front of you. Certify here and you can teach mat classes anywhere.
The path:
-
Modules: Movement Principles, Mat 1, Mat 2, Mat 3. That's 4 modules: $2,400, or $2,200 with early-bird pricing throughout.
-
Your hours: 70 practical hours. 20 personal mat sessions, 15 observation, 35 student teaching.
-
Path total: 134 hours, per Balanced Body's official requirements.
REFORMER CERTIFICATION
The machine clients book first. This path takes you from Movement Principles through advanced Reformer, with the anatomy to understand what the springs are doing to the body on the carriage.
The path:
-
Modules: Movement Principles, Anatomy, Reformer 1, Reformer 2, Reformer 3. That's 5 modules: $3,000, or $2,750 with early-bird pricing throughout.
-
Your hours: 150 practical hours. 30 personal reformer sessions, 30 observation, 90 student teaching.
-
Path total: 214 hours, per Balanced Body's official requirements. Anatomy is required before test-out.
